- How to Set Custom Filters and Triggers to Creatives Playing on Digital Billboards
Custom triggers are available with the many applications Lucit has. Select some Applications here to start using triggers. How to Set Triggers From your account home page, click on the campaign with the ads you wish to add triggers to. In the Creative Items list, you can use the search box or scroll down to the ad that you wish to add a trigger to. Click on the Folder with a star on it to set custom filters and triggers. You will click + Condition to add a new filter/trigger. After you've created a few filters/triggers it will be easier to understand how it works and how to achieve your goals. Check out Specific Triggers you can Set to see some preset options. Make sure to click Add if you are creating a new trigger or click the save icon if you are editing a preexisting trigger. From this home page, you can select the campaign you wish to know more about. Scroll down and you will see all your inventory under Creative Items. This could be properties, vehicles, equipment, etc. Those items with the teal font are currently running in rotation. Active vs. Inactive The creatives with a teal font and a white background are active, and the creatives with a black font and a grey background are inactive. The creatives with a teal calendar icon are scheduled and the ones with a grey calendar icon are not. The creatives with a teal billboard icon are set to only appear on specific screens, while the creatives with a grey billboard icon will appear on all screens within the campaign. The icons with a teal checkmark icon can be moved to inactive. The icons with a plus icon can be moved to active. Active and Scheduled the teal font tells you that this creative is active. the teal calendar icon tells you that this creative is scheduled. you can move this creative to inactive by clicking on the teal checkmark icon. You can change the scheduling by clicking on the calendar. From this home page, you can select the campaign you wish to schedule from. Scroll down and you will see all your inventory under Creative Items. This could be properties, vehicles, equipment, etc. Those items with the teal font and a checkmark icon next to them are currently running in rotation. Click the plus icon next to any item you’d like to add to rotation; it will immediately change to a checkmark, and you will be notified that it’s been successfully added to rotation. Click the checkmark next to any item you’d like to remove from rotation; it will immediately change to a plus icon, and you will be notified that it’s been successfully removed from rotation. If an item has a schedule attached to it you might not be able to add it back to rotation by clicking on the plus icon. You will have to first remove the schedule by clicking on the teal calendar and remove any current schedule conflicts. Tip: Don’t want to scroll through all your inventory to find what you’re looking for? No problem. Where it says ‘Filter…’ type something to help you find the item you’re looking for. How to post with a Template How to post a Full Size Creative How to post with a Template To start, you have to be using the account where you want the ad to be posted, click on the account switcher on the top right of the screen and select the correct account. If you are not on your homepage already, click Home on the left menu. To post ads in your template, from the homepage, click Post Ad . Since you want to post an ad to your template, you will click +Post . Click on Click here to upload . Choose the photo that you’d like inserted into your post template. Crop the image appropriately. Click Add . Type a caption to be inserted into your post template. Click Create . The next page will show you what the full creative will look like, you are able to change the caption, or delete the creative if you don’t like it. If you would like to schedule this creative, click on the gear icon and select your dates. For more help, click here: How to schedule an Ad You can delete the creative if you don’t like it. Your new creative will be automatically added to your campaign so be sure to delete it, if you aren’t happy with how it looks. How to post a Full Size Creative To start, you have to be using the account where you want the ad to be posted, click on the account switcher on the top right of the screen and select the correct account. If you are not on your homepage already, click Home on the left menu. To upload full-size creatives, click Post Ad . Since you want to post a full-size creative, you will click +Creative . Click on Click here to upload . Choose the full size creative that you’d like to upload (make sure the file you are uploading is an image file type such as a png, pdfs will give you an error), this would be an image that will cover the whole billboard. If you are just looking to upload a photo to be inserted into your template, then you will want to check out how to post with a template . See min width and min height for the appropriate size to upload. Crop the image appropriately. Click Create. The next screen will allow you to see the full-size creative in the different billboard sizes your digital billboard campaign is running on. If they look ok, then great! If the creative uploaded doesn’t fit at all, and one of the billboards looks like it has while edges around it click Looks bad? Change this image . See min width and min height for the appropriate size to upload; it was also displayed on the previous screen. Click here to upload. Crop the image appropriately. Click Add. Repeat this process for any sizes that don’t look good. You will see the creative has been named after the original file name that you uploaded. You can leave it or click the pencil icon to type a new name and then click the checkmark to save the new name. If you would like to schedule this creative, click on the gear icon and select your dates. - How to Edit the Name, Photo, or other Info on an Ad
One thing that is important to understand about making any of these changes within Lucit, is that once you manually change anything that ad can no longer be updated by the data feed. If you change the title, price or main photo, that ad will no longer reflect changes from the back-end inventory system, it won’t be removed when the item is sold, the price won’t automatically change when it changes in the inventory system, etc. That’s why it’s best to make these changes through the inventory system rather than through Lucit, if possible. Index Edit the Title Edit the Price Change the Photo Find the Ad you wish to edit There are various ways to arrive at the ad that you wish to edit. To start, you have to be using the account where the ad was posted, click on the account switcher on the top right of the screen and select the correct account. From the homepage, you can scroll down to go through your current ads running and click on the title of the one that you wish to edit. You can also click Campaigns and click the campaign that you are wanting to edit an inventory item for. Click on the title of the inventory item that you want to edit information for. Please note that if the font is teal, then the item is running, but if it is not, you will have to click the plus icon to add that item to the rotation. Edit the Title You can edit the title which would typically be the year, make and model for vehicles or street address for properties. Click on the pencil icon, make the change, and hit this checkmark. You will be notified that the title was saved successfully and see the update on the creative here. You will be able to undo your changes by clicking on the back arrow next to the crossed-out name, this will reconnect it to the feed title. Just know that this title comes from our connection to your data feed so you will only update this if you want it to be different from your back-end inventory system, updating the title through your back-end inventory system would automatically update this title and would be the ideal process, if possible. Edit the Price You can edit the price by clicking on this pencil icon, make the change, and hit the checkmark. You will be notified that the price was successfully set and see the update on the creative over here. You will be able to undo your changes by clicking on the back arrow next to the crossed-out price, this will reconnect it to the feed price. Just know that this price comes from our connection to your data feed so you will only update this if you want it to be different form your back-end inventory system, updating the price through your back-end inventory system would automatically update this price and would be the ideal process, if possible. Change the Photo You can override the primary photo by clicking on the override primary photo button. Click here to upload and choose the photo that you’d like to replace the current primary photo with. Crop it appropriately. Click Add. You will be notified that the photo was successfully set and see the update on the creative over here. You will be able to undo your changes by clicking on uploads. You can now click the trash icon to remove the photo you added, this will reconnect it to the feed photo. Just know that this photo comes from our connection to your data feed so you will only update this if you want to be different from your back-end inventory system, updating the photo through your back-end inventory system would automatically update this photo and would be the ideal process, if possible.
